Aphidophagous ladybirds (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) and climate change: a review

چکیده
I here review the potential effects of climate change on aphidophagous ladybirds and their future diversity. Aphidophagous face challenges arising directly from climatic indirect due to effect aphid prey other organisms with which they interact. Ladybirds show at least some respond changes through genetic or phenotypic plasticity, notably in colour pattern, dormancy voltinism but also thermal physiology microhabitat habitat plasticity. Phenological will likely occur many species relations prey. Changes abundance may lead ladybird associations over season. The tendency multiple insulate predators decline resulting particular aphids. Like insects, geographic ranges as track climate. This is evidenced by fossil record recent biogeography. Such be accompanied a degree phenological adaptation. It that cold-adapted island go extinct. Specialised threatened. A problem assessing threat latter minimal amount research carried out specialised species. In summary, exhibit resilience against change, overall biodiversity are not fully clear.

First finding of the parasitic fungus Hesperomyces virescens (Laboulbeniales) on native and invasive ladybirds (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae) in South Africa
Hesperomyces virescens is a fungal ectoparasite (Laboulbeniales) that infects adult ladybirds. Research has recently focused on this parasite due to the discovery of its prevalence on the globally invasive harlequin ladybird Harmonia axyridis and for its potential use in studies of co-evolution and pathogen spread. We collected adults from ten species of ladybirds in the Western Cape Province, ...
متن کاملReview of the tribe Chilocorini Mulsant from Iran (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae)
The Iranian checklist of the tribe Chilocorini Mulsant, 1846 (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) is updated. In total, 13 species belonging to four genera (Brumoides Chapin, 1965, Chilocorus Leach, 1815, Exochomus Redtenbacher, 1843, and Parexochomus Barovsky, 1922) are listed from Iran. An identification key to all genera and species currently known from Iran is presented along with illustrations of a...
متن کاملClimate Change: a Theoretical Review
Climate Change has been undoubtedly the most illustrious environmental issue since late 20 century. But neither the discourse merely emerged during that time, nor it was problematized in the same way since its onset. History of Climate Change discourse reveals that from a purely scientific concern it has turned into a public agenda that is nowadays more inclined to be development problem. Trans...
متن کاملladybirds associated with pistachio trees in part of kerman province, iran (coleoptera: coccinellidae)
the majority members of the family coccinellidae are predators, so they have received considerable research attention because of their potential to act as biocontrol agents. the coccinellids complex of pistachio trees was monitored at both cultivated and wild pistachio plantations in shahr-e babak (kerman, iran) during 2009 - 2010. sampling was carried out randomly in the cultivated pistachio p...

Zoophytophagy is an omnivorous activity that occurs when a primarily carnivorous species feeds on plant material. Plant feeding by beneficial predators may have negative consequences if the plant material has been chemically treated, contains toxins, or was transgenically altered. Although common in predaceous Hemiptera, zoophytophagy has been rarely studied in aphidophagous coccinellids. This ...
